Privacy policy.
The Marty & Laura Show (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it.
The short version.
- We collect your email if you subscribe to our newsletter, plus order details if you buy something.
- We use Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Captivate, Stripe, and our hosting provider to run the site — that’s it.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.
- You can unsubscribe, request your data, or delete your data anytime by emailing us.
- We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
02.Who we are & scope
This Privacy Policy applies to The Marty & Laura Show (“we,” “us,” “our”) and covers our website at martyandlaurashow.com, our podcast, our email newsletter, our online store, and any related services we offer (collectively, the “Services”).
We are based in Grants Pass, Oregon, United States. Our website and data storage are located in the United States. By using our Services, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
This policy applies to information we collect online and through our podcast distribution. Information collected by third-party podcast platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Substack, etc.) is governed by their own privacy policies.
03.Information we collect
We collect different types of information depending on how you interact with us. Below is a complete breakdown.
Information you provide to us directly
When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and (optionally) your first name. Submitted via our website forms and stored in Mailchimp.
When you email us at info@martyandlaurashow.com or contact us about sponsorships, live events, podcast collaborations, press inquiries, or topic suggestions, we collect what you choose to send us.
When you buy a digital product (such as the Color Me Pets coloring book download), we collect your name, email address, billing address (as required by our payment processor), and order details. We do not collect or store payment card numbers — payment is processed directly by Stripe.
If you create an account at checkout, we store your email, name, billing address, encrypted password, and order history. Account creation is optional — guest checkout is available.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we automatically collect your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring website, and pages you visit. Collected via Google Analytics 4 and our web server logs.
Captivate, our podcast hosting platform, captures aggregate listening data including IP-based location (city/region level), device type, listening platform (Apple, Spotify, etc.), episode plays, and approximate listening duration. This data is used to understand audience trends, not to identify individuals.
See our Cookies, Analytics & Tracking section for full details.
Mailchimp tracks whether you open our newsletters and which links you click. This helps us understand what content is useful and improve our content. You can disable this in most email clients.
Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect special category data (health information, biometric data, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, etc.).
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. See Children’s Privacy.
- We do not store payment card numbers. Stripe handles all card data directly.
- We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects on you.
- We do not collect SMS / phone numbers for marketing.

Kids Corner content
Our website features a Kids Corner section with educational content about veterinary medicine (“Future Vets for Kids”) and a coloring book product designed for children. Coloring book purchases
The Color Me Pets / Color Me Canine coloring book is sold via our online store and is intended to be purchased by an adult on behalf of a child. 13.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other reasons. When we make material changes:
- We will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page
